The Department of Physics at the University of Utah may have an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in high energy theoretical physics beginning in the Autumn semester 2007.
The position involves research in lattice gauge theory and may also include software development to support numerical simulations of lattice theories.
There are currently three faculty members, one postdoctoral research associate, and five graduate students in our high energy theory group. Professor Yong-Shi Wu's research includes topics in string theory and topological aspects of field theories, Carleton DeTar is studying various topics in QCD using lattice gauge theory, and Professor Paolo Gondolo specializes in particle astrophysics.
We will need a statement of interest, current vita, bibliography, and
three letters of recommendation to complete the application file by
January 1, 2006 or until the position is filled. Please
