Tenure Line Faculty
Faculty position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. This is an open rank faculty position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics in the broad area of materials physics, including quantum and unconventional materials. The appointment may be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level; rank will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience. A Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience in physics or a related field is required. The application review will begin on November 30, 2020, and will proceed until the position is filled.
Tenure-Track Faculty position in Astronomy. This is a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in astronomy & astrophysics. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in computational applications to research problems, e.g., for large datasets/surveys, numerical simulations, etc. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field. The successful applicant will be expected to establish an active research program involving undergraduate and Ph.D. students, to teach two courses per year, and to take an active role in advancing the mission of the Department of Physics & Astronomy.
