Prof. Paolo Gondolo Elected Fellow of the APS

The American Physical Society (APS) has elected Prof. Paolo Gondolo as a 2016 Fellow of the American Physical Society. A prestigious honor, APS Fellows are elected each year based on noteworthy contributions to the field of physics. The APS outlines these contributions as including "outstanding physics research, important applications of physics, leadership in or service to physics, or significant contributions to physics education".

Dr. Gondolo was nominated by the department's division of Astrophysics. His citation reads, "For outstanding theoretical contributions to dark matter research, particularly direct and indirect dark matter searches". The entire department congratulates Prof. Gondolo on this achievement.
