Rui Rui Du

Professor

Office: 304 JFB
Phone: (801) 581-6806
E-mail: rrd@physics.utah.edu

Educational Background:

  • B.S., 1982, Fundan University
  • Ph.D., 1990, University of Illinois at Urbana_Champaign

Research Interests:

Professor Du is interested in magnetotransport properties of two-dimensional electron states in semiconductor heterostructures. His group has been studying the integral and the fractional quantum Hall effects, observed in high magnetic fields and at low temperatures. Other work includes transport phenomena of electrons in mesoscopic structures such as quantum wells and quantum dots, edge states observed on the perimeter of the quantum fluids, and spin-dependent transport in semiconductors.
