Karel V. Kuchar

Professor (Emeritus)

Office: 221 SP
Phone: (801) 581-5083
E-mail:

Educational Background:

  • RNDr, 1957, The Charles University, Prague, Czechoslovakia

Research Interests:

Professor Kuchar is studying quantum theory of covariant systems in general and of Einstein's gravitational field in particular. The topics which are currently being investigated include the quantum black hole formation by gravitational collapse of matter, canonical theory of diffeomorphism-invariant space of histories, construction of gravitational observables, and the issue of time in canonical quantum gravity.
