Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort is located about 32 miles from the Salt Lake International Airport (map). However, you do not have to rent a car to get to Snowbird. There are other, less-expensive options available.

For transportation to/from the Salt Lake International Airport, we recommend reserving a spot on Canyon Transportation (Toll Free: (800) 255-1841), a convenient shuttle servicing Salt Lake International Airport, Little Cottonwood Canyon and elsewhere in the Salt Lake Valley. Rates are around $40 for one-way and $76 for round trip, but prices are subject to change, so call for up-to-date pricing. Make shuttle reservations through Snowbird’s Central Reservations (phone: 1-800-232-9542, international: 1-801-947-8220, email: lodging@snowbird.com) or call Canyon Transportation directly at (800) 255-1841.

For local attendees, we recommend the UTA Ski Bus, which travels to/from Snowbird frequently throughout the day. For UTA Ski Bus fares and information, call UTA at (888) 743-3882 or visit www.rideuta.com.

Additionally, taxis, and other transportation services are available as well for a fee. We have listed them below (in no particular order):

Please note: By law, snow tires or chains are required on all vehicles entering Little Cottonwood Canyon from November 1st to May 1st. During heavy snowstorms, the canyon may be temporarily restricted to 4WD or chain-equipped vehicles only.
