Description
The 2009 Snowbird Workshop on Particle Astrophysics, Astronomy and Cosmology (SNOWPAC2009) is a unique winter workshop on current topics in Astrophysics and Cosmology. The goal of the weeklong workshop is to bring together theorists, observers, and experimentalists in a unique winter venue to highlight recent scientific discoveries and common ties between particle astrophysics, astronomy, and cosmology. By designing a workshop with a designated period of unscheduled conference hours each day for conference participants to meet in smaller groups, we seek to spark new cross-disciplinary ties between that will lead to future research directions and collaborations. SNOWPAC2009 is the inaugural workshop of the ongoing annual SNOWPAC winter workshops, which we plan to host yearly in Salt Lake City. SNOWPAC2009 is co-hosted by the University of Utah and the University of California-Los Angeles.
