Under Unix the popular mail utilities include <B>thunderbird</B>, <B>pine</B>, and <B>elm</B>. There are also web-based mail utilities. The Physics department has one that is accessed through the URL <B>http://mail.utah.edu</B>. GNU emacs also has a mail utility called <B>RMAIL</B> and a separate, easy-to-use mail sending feature. Then there is the standard Unix <B>mail</B> utility. The <B>thunderbird</B> and <B>pine</B> utilities are quite user-friendly and have the capability of sending and receiving files as standard attachments. The GNU emacs <B>RMAIL</B> utility is very powerful, because it is embedded in a versatile text editor.
