For variables of type
float, we have a choice of fixed point or scientific notation. The
code for fixed point format has the form **f**, where
specifies the minimum width of the space for the number (including the
decimal point and possible sign) and specifies the number of
digits past the decimal point. The number is rounded to the specified
number of digits. If there isn't enough space, Python makes room
anyway. If you omit the width , as in **f**, Python simply
makes room.
