The Department of Physics at the University of Utah anticipates an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in lattice gauge theory beginning in the Fall semester 2010.
The position involves research in lattice gauge theory and includes software development to support numerical simulations of lattice theories.
There are currently three faculty members, one postdoctoral research associate, and fifteen graduate students in our high energy theory group. Professor Yong-Shi Wu's research includes topics in string theory and topological aspects of field theories, Carleton DeTar is studying various topics in QCD using lattice gauge theory, and Professor Paolo Gondolo specializes in particle astrophysics.
