Spring Semester 2014:

When and where do the labs start?

The first actual lab activities do not start in the first week of classes. In the past, an introductory session used to meet in the first week of classes. This introduction has been moved to a video presentation which will be available on CANVAS (I will activate CANVAS by the start of the semester or earlier). In the first week of classes you need to go on CANVAS. There you need to find “Modules” and look for the Module called “Introduction and Syllabus”. Click on “Introductory Remarks and Videos” which will lead you to a page. Follow the instructions on that page and watch the introductory videos.

You do not need to come to the lab during the first week of classes. However, in as far as I have the TAs assigned to a section, he/she will be available in the lab area (South Physics 402 for Physics 1809, 2015, 2215 and South Physics 405 for Physics 2025 and 2225) during the first hour of your lab time (for 7:30am sections the TA will be available from 9am-10am) to help you with questions regarding your homework assignment and/or questions regarding the course policy. The first actual lab activity will take place on the following dates:

Physics 1809 - 1:                 Friday, January 17th

Physics 2015 - 1, 2, 3:         Monday January 13th
