Lab Location:

The electronics lab meets in room 302 of the South Physics (SP) Building. This door will be open during scheduled lab hours. You can gain access to the lab during off-hours by using your University of Utah id card in the electronic lock on the door. Slide your card down the slot with the bar code towards the right as you face the machine. The lab door will open after one or more tries. I will use your University id number taken from the classroom roll list to give you access to the lab, so you need to register for the course. If your ID card does not seem to work later on in the quarter, you can contact Stephen Rowley (718-5936) to solve your problem. You can also enter the last 5 digits of your university ID number and this should also open the door.

If the electronic lock `hangs' or gets confused, it will emit a constant squeal. The computer must be rebooted in this case. You can do this from the keypad by hitting the following color of buttons: Hit `Red', then `Blue', then `Red' . This will make more sense when you are standing in front of the keypad. The computer should reset and then you can again try swiping your card or entering your social security access code on the keypad.
