    Fall 2007

Lectures: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30pm through 9pm in JFB 102
Labs (time depending on your session) in [South] PHYS[ics] 306:
Tuesday & Thursday: 9:40am - 11:45am, 12:55pm - 2:50pm, 5:15pm - 7:10pm
Monday & Wednesday: 6:00pm - 7:55pm
Please note that the Monday/Wednesday Labs will be one day AHEAD of the schedule given below! For example the corresponding Getting Around session will be on August 27 (Monday) rather than August 28 (Tuesday).
Office hours: Tue 5pm - 6pm; Thu 2pm - 3:30pm in my office (INSCC 216)

The lab sessions will start on Monday, August 27. There are no labs during the first week of the semester.

There will be four midterms. For the midterms there will be no makeups, but you can drop one and only three will count. If you miss one, that will be the one that does not count. If you miss two, your average on the midterms will be affected. The final exam for the course will be held at the university appointed time.

Labs will be credit or not. No fractional credits will be assigned. Your record of completed labs will be one of the TAs' signature in your laboratory manual on the page that refers to the lab in question. This signature will not be given until the TA is fully satisfied that the lab exercise is well understood and completed.

Final Exam: Tuesday, December 11, 2007 from 8:30pm - 10:30pm in JFB 102

Here are the solutions.

Suggestions for final projects

Reminder: Homework assignments can be found on the last slide of the Thursday lectures - if that slide is not showing a homework assignment, there is no homework that week; homework assigned Thursday is due in the following Tuesday's lecture. If you cannot come to the lecture you can put it into my mailbox in the physics main office (JFB 201). The physics office normally closes at 5pm though.
