My work primarily focuses on observational cosmology and the instrumentation required for astronomical observations.
In this effort, I have studied the
Cosmic Microwave Background
at microwave wavelengths, observed galaxy clusters using the
Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect, and
helped develop new detector technologies
for optical astronomy.
I joined the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Utah in January, 2009.
I am now focusing on the completion of a survey of distant
supernovae and
galaxy clusters
with the
Hubble Space Telescope,
the commissioning of a 32-inch telescope in Southern Utah,
and a large survey of massive galaxies with the 2.5 meter
Sloan Telescope
in southeastern New Mexico.
