Pearl Sandick

The Millennium Simulation

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, and raised in Southwest Florida, I spent the 00's working my way across the country from one institution of higher education to the next. In 2003, I earned a BA in Mathematics from New York University, after which I moved westward to the Twin Cities to pursue a PhD in Physics at the University of Minnesota. By August of 2008, I obtained both a PhD, under the direction of Keith Olive, and an "Mrs.", courtesy of my husband, Kyle Kaiser (more about that here). After a stint in Austin, TX, where I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Theory Group at The University of Texas at Austin, I am now an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Utah. (Go Utes!)
