Pearl Sandick

The Millennium Simulation

I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Utah, where I study particle physics beyond the Standard Model, including DARK MATTER. My research involves the connections between theoretical particle physics, cosmology, and astrophysics. Please have a look at my research page, where you can also find links to some of my talks.

This semester, fall 2016 I'm teaching PHYS/ASTR 7720: General Relativity.

I'm also very active regarding issues for women in physics. I'm a member of the American Physical Society (APS) Committee on the Status of Women in Physics (CSWP), and I'm the faculty advisor for the Utah Women in Physics and Astronomy (WomPA), which now has an undergraduate spin-off group open to anyone who is a major/minor or is considering majoring/minoring in Physics and/or Astronomy. The undergraduate group meets at least twice each semester. If you'd like to be added to the email list or Facebook group, just send me an email!

I had a baby! Cora Jane Kaiser was born on Deecember 2nd, 2015.
