COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course was designed as a laboratory addition to the Introductory Physics 1010 course to be taken by students working toward certification as elementary school teachers. The course represents physical science components of the Utah State Core Curriculum as they relate to physics in grades K-6. The activities selected specifically target those elements of physics elementary teachers are expected to teach as K-6 teachers.

OTHER COMMENTS

This course, although "on the books" has not been offered for over 5 years. The course will be taught again when revisions in the certification program for elementary education majors reflects added laboratory science requirements.
